The rail setup uses its own fixture and net section with the same nominal shear kernel as D5379. P is force, bnet net width, t linked thickness, Gxy linked shear modulus and Lg effective gauge length. Rail contact and local notch stress are not resolved.
Instructional model comparison, not experimental validation or ASTM certification. Physical testing requires the licensed standard and a qualified test program.
